Learning has come a long way from its traditional hands-on approach in the classrooms to now widely used online methods. Though both styles have its benefits, the virtual style of learning is transforming the way a classroom operates in this time and age. Thanks to an upsurge in the use of internet and other tools to make the distance between a teacher and students a non factor, e-learning is putting its mark on the education system.
The original method of learning has been used for as long we know it and it has always seemed to work. The traditional discourse of attending lectures in a classroom, which provides a more hands-on approach to learning and basic understanding, has been implemented with success till now but as life around us are changing and adapting to the newer technologies available to us, so is the methods of learning.
Virtual or e-learning is used pretty much in every aspect of university learning. Most of the course lectures are provided online by the instructors for the ease of attainability. Not only that, most other materials such as assignments and various information is available online on such course websites. Sometimes lectures are even held via the webcam through the internet where students can attend from anywhere around the world.
All these technologies are changing the way we look at teaching and learning. These methods are extremely valuable now and we have come to rely on them so much.
